Follow-Up Visits (Check Ups)
After your treatment is completed your follow-up care will be arranged either at the Cancer Centre
or at one of our clinics in Peterborough, Brockville, Smiths Falls, Trenton or the Belleville
Oncology Clinic. The follow-up visit is to find out how you are feeling and talks about any concerns
you have about your cancer or treatment.
Many health care professionals provide your health care: therefore you may not always see the same
doctor at each visit.
Should you have any questions or concerns before your appointment, please feel free to contact the
Centre or to discuss them at the time of your visit. You can write down your questions ahead of your
visit.
The Cancer Centre sends a copy of every note about your care to your family doctor and to the Doctor
who referred you to the Cancer Centre. You can change these directions at any time.
We suggest you keep close and regular contact with your family doctor during your cancer treatment
and after it is finished. Please tell the Cancer Centre if you change your family doctor.
